Haut.AI has introduced Deep C.A.R.E., an AI-powered skincare recommendation engine. Instead of broad categories such as dry or oily skin, the system creates individual skin profiles and explains why it recommends a particular product.

How Deep C.A.R.E. connects skin and products

Deep C.A.R.E. works on two sides at once. On the product side, the engine evaluates metadata — ingredients, intended uses and properties — and matches products to skin types and concerns.

On the skin side, according to Haut.AI, the AI creates much more nuanced profiles than previous systems. Rather than assigning one broad category, Deep C.A.R.E. captures differences in texture, skin tone and changing skin conditions.

Crucially, it also identifies combination concerns — such as dry skin with acne or hyperpigmentation. Classic methods of determining skin type often miss these combinations.

Linking the two sets of data creates a more individual match. CEO Anastasia Georgievskaya describes the goal this way: recommendations should feel like personal advice, supported by transparent, scientific reasoning.

The system automatically adapts to new products and updated ingredient lists.

Transparency for customers and value for brands

Every recommendation comes with an explanation — that distinguishes Deep C.A.R.E. from many AI tools. Consumers can see specifically why a product suits their skin. There is no bare list without an explanation.

Georgievskaya emphasised that although AI use in the beauty industry is growing rapidly, scepticism about its reliability is also increasing. Transparency is therefore not a bonus, but a prerequisite.

For brands, Deep C.A.R.E. provides additional insights: the system identifies gaps in a product range and helps align product development more closely with real needs.

This is especially relevant for salon clients. People who have relied on trial and error when choosing products could find suitable skincare more quickly with transparent AI recommendations — a development that may also change advice on modern facial treatments in salons.

Deep C.A.R.E. focuses on transparency and individuality instead of broad skin-type categories. Whether the AI engine will actually increase trust in algorithm-based product recommendations remains to be seen in the market — the direction matters to beauty customers and brands alike.
